Nan Lian Garden
Here is another one of my latest compositions – a 7/8 tune in A major called Nan Lian Garden, after visiting there during a trip to Hong Kong in 2019.
I’m joined by the fantastic Lea Larsen on bodhrán.
This is one of my latest compositions – a reel in G major. In this video I play an A whistle and am joined by the fantastic Seán Gray on guitar. We recorded this as part of Seán’s ‘Isolation Collaboration’ video series.
The Squirrel Returns | KPC
These are two new compositions of mine both in F# major. I’m joined in this recording by the fantastic Jean Damei on guitar and I’m playing an A whistle. This is a live recording from a rehearsal.
Superknit | Two Potatoes More Than a Pig
This is a video of me performing two of my own compositions live at The Tunnels, Aberdeen in December 2013. The gig was part of the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards and I was asked to perform as I was a nominee at the awards that year.
Southbank is a reel I composed for my third Irish dance music album – Féistastic 3. I named it after my trip to Southbank in Brisbane whilst I was over to play at the 2017 Australian International Oireachtas in Gold Coast.
The Fat Giraffe
The Fat Giraffe is a hornpipe I composed for my third Irish dance music album – Féistastic 3. I named it after a trip with my friend to a lovely cafe in Padiham, a small town in the North West of England close to where I grew up. I particularly like the funky chord in the B part of this tune.
Koala Hug is a slip jig I composed for my third Irish dance music album – Féistastic 3. In 2017 I flew over to Australia to play at the Australian International Oireachtas. Whilst in Brisbane I got to visit a koala sanctuary where I enjoyed a hug from a wee koala.
