I’ve been writing a lot of tunes on the piano recently so today I fancied trying to write one on the whistle. Different styles of writing happen when I choose to write on different instruments and I like that. The A part to this tune came to me very easily. I had written a different B part initially, but when I wrote it out I wasn’t happy with it. It just didn’t fit. I only liked the last 4 bars of it. Adam suggested using those bars at the beginning of the B part. I wasn’t convinced but thought I’d give it a go, I mean he must know what he’s on about having written so many amazing tunes himself. So I started the B part with the first two bars of the last four and it just seemed to flow into a new B part which I’m now really happy with.
This tune is for my grandma, the most amazing grandma with a fantastic name: Millicent.
