After a wee break from composing tunes I’ve written a couple in the last few weeks. Here’s a slow reel in B minor. I was recording another tune that I’d written at the time, when I got sidetracked and ended up composing this. I originally wrote it on the piano an octave lower than I play it on the flute in this recording. Unfortunately the flute doesn’t have enough notes to play it an octave lower but I quite like where it sits on the flute now.
I was recently on a run to Bellahouston Park in Glasgow. It was beautiful weather and I came across the ‘Elephant For Glasgow’ – the life size elephant sculpture in the park.
So here she is, Bella The Elephant.
