Last week I hit a milestone in my #tuneoftheweek project having written 25 tunes, one tune every week for 25 consecutive weeks. I’m very proud of what I’ve managed to achieve in this time. I’m still enjoying it so I’m still composing a tune a week for now.
Week 26 #tuneoftheweek is just myself playing the piano live. I do like to record right hand separately and then back myself over the top and enjoy adding in bass and drums and all sorts of other things but this week I thought I’d just go for a wee live arrangement of this tune as it’s great fun to play.
I enjoy watching Grand Designs and think that Kevin MacLeod is very entertaining. In one episode I was watching he described the project as the realm of the lunatic which amused me so I thought I’d name this tune after that.
So here it is. A reel in D minor with a few accidentals. ‘The Realm of the Lunatic’.
