I wrote this tune when I returned to Glasgow after the Scots Trad Music Awards last weekend but I’ve only just got round to recording it. The awards were held in Inverness and I was delighted to be nominated as ‘Composer of the Year’. It was a fantastic night filled with live music, stories and awards. I’ve decided to name the tune ‘Na Trads’ after such a great event for Scottish music.
