Week 34 #tuneoftheweek is a jig in E minor. I wrote this on the whistle. I was hoping to write something in a major key but this is what came out. I’m joined by my dad on bodhrán for the recording 🙂
I’ve called it after a my first hill that I climbed a couple of weeks ago, Helm Crag in Grasmere in the Lake District.
I’m still not sure how long I’ll keep this tune writing project going. I’m really excited about a lot of the tunes I’ve written so far but it is a lot of work to keep it up and I’m not awfully sure what to do with all these tunes I have now. Anyway, we will see. It’s definitely been good for me as a musician and a composer.
So here it is, week 34: ‘Helm Crag’.
